Update on August 2015

A massive thank you to all of you who attended Truth 4 Youth August 2015. We seemed to have so many more new attendees and we thank God for that and we thank all you oldies (meaning those that have been at Truth 4 Youth before) for your warm welcome to all the newbies. This is what has been such a blessing for all of us on the steering group of Truth 4 Youth. To see strong friendships developing and then growing into eternal relationships in Christ, encouraging one another and loving one another, then introducing to others in your Church and the links grow.

Over many years of being a part of Truth 4 Youth we continually stand in awe at God’s faithfulness and love to us in letting us witness His work in your lives. To watch you all listening to faithful men sharing God’s Word and then hearing you all discussing what you’ve learnt together warms our hearts and gives us the encouragement to keep going with Truth 4 Youth.

A massive thank you goes out to our wonderful speakers who so lovingly and Biblically shared over the weekend. We thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules and lives. So much was covered and I heard many saying how much they’d learnt and how they’d been encouraged and strengthened in their faith. The heart of Truth 4 Youth is exactly this, that young adults(and us oldies) will be grounded, strengthened, encouraged and established in our faith and not blown about by every wind of doctrine.

2 Timothy 2:15 – 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. We pray that as you return to your home Churches you will be a blessing and encouragement, serving the Lord as you grow in Him.

For any of you that can make Truth 4 Youth February 2016 we look forward to welcoming you. Don’t forget we’re not just here twice a year, please do keep in touch with any prayer requests.

Love to you all in Jesus,

Suzie Gee

(On behalf of the Truth 4 Youth Steering Group)

The teachings were all recorded and we’ll let you know when they’re available.

A Lesson in Trust – Update on Feb 2014

Over the years God has taught us many things as we’ve helped to run Truth 4 Youth but it’s amazing how quickly we forget. The last few years we’ve had the worry of snow falling on Dartmoor but this year snow wasn’t an issue. All of us in the UK have been dismayed at the amount of rain this last month and as the days drew closer to Truth 4 Youth we became more and more afraid that we may have to cancel. We were concerned for those travelling to Devon from all over the UK. Suzie has read many books about missionaries to countries like India and was remembering amazing stories of how people would travel through monsoons to get to hear Bible teaching. This encouraged me somewhat but I was still concerned. We spoke to other members of the steering group and they were certain we shouldn’t cancel and that God would provide a way to get to Dartmoor. So off we went. As we journeyed there the rain was so bad that a friend commented we’re like salmon swimming up a river. It was that bad. We were in a convoy of cars full of equipment for the conference and a number of young adults from Dorset that were coming with us. We were so thrilled that we made it there and thanked God as we drove up to Heatree’s front doors. Others had already made it through and the usual business of preparing for the conference began. We began to hear from the Heatree staff that attendees were phoning to say certain roads on Dartmoor were flooded and asking for alternative directions. Amazingly a slow trickle of young adults began to flood (pardon the pun) in. We still however had only two speakers. A couple of the guys already there suggested we have a prayer meeting. As I sat there listening to these older, wiser men in Christ praying, I realised that this was nothing new for God and that whatever happened it was all in God’s Hands. Truth 4 Youth is God’s work, not ours and He really showed me during that meeting that I must not worry as Jesus said in Matthew 6 v 25 – 34. It was wonderful to relax in Christ knowing He would look after His work. As we walked out of the prayer meeting I was told that another one of the speakers had arrived along with many attendees. There was another test in trust to come as all of a sudden the lights went out and we had a power cut. The staff and everyone pulled together, we had a cold tea but not one complaint. We all agreed it had been a bit of an adventure when the lights finally came back on. The conference continued to be such a blessing to myself and to many others who have told us how much they have learnt of God’s Word and how they have been encouraged in their faith. Thanks to all of you that came along. You were all so gracious and helpful. I’m sure all of you would agree that the teaching was fantastic and we sincerely thank all the speakers, Meno Kalisher, Bryan Sheldon, Jay Smith and Tim Palmer. I’d like to thank the rest of the steering group for their hard work, love and commitment to Truth 4 Youth over many years.

Update on Feb 2013

Hi to all of you that attended Truth 4 Youth this Feb 2013 and of course to those of you who may be looking on this site wondering whether Truth 4 Youth may be something you may want to attend in August this year. It really was such a great time of teaching with Mike Attwood focusing on the Church, Bryan Sheldon teaching on ‘Messiah in the Feasts’. Mark Green came from Barnabas Fund and shared with us about the persecuted Church and also Islam. Tim Palmer told us all about NTM along with students who are currently studying at New Tribes Mission. Two of them heard about New Tribes Mission at Truth 4 Youth only a year before. It made us feel so encouraged (and a little weepy) to listen to them all sharing how they were loving getting to really know God’s Word. We thank all our speakers, what an amazing job you did. We’re now looking forward to August 2013 God willing. We have Justin Peters coming back again with updated and new teachings. Dr David Moore who we all recently heard teaching about the Millennial Reign of Christ and learnt so much that we booked him for Truth 4 Youth. He’s from Northern Ireland originally and used to be in a punk rock band. Very interesting and lovable guy. We also have Dominic Statham from Creation Ministries International joining us. Always need creation teaching, it’s the foundation of our faith. Mr Tim Palmer will be joining us as always from NTM along with his lovely wife Joanne and fab family. Can’t wait to see you all. Thanks for all your lovely letters of encouragement and the flowers we received. Such a blessing and such a surprise. Love to you all. Please don’t forget we are always here to pray or chat with you, just give us a call anytime.

Update on Feb 2012

Hi to all of you that attended Truth 4 Youth this February 2012. Again a very encouraging, challenging time was had by all, including us adults. Meno Kalisher joined us from The Jerusalem Assembly. He has a remarkable ability to teach the meat of God’s Word in a gentle manner mixed with his wonderful sense of humour that allowed us all to be challenged, yet encouraged at the same time. Justin Peters taught us about the need for discernment within the Church. It was so lovely to have Justin with us again, he is now a married man, sadly Kathy couldn’t come with him this time but we are praying she will make it next time he joins us in August 2013. Our old friend Caleb Massey came from America, taught us to stand firm and walk the way of Truth. Tim Palmer was, of course, with us. It wouldn’t be Truth 4 Youth without the Palmers being there! We are really looking forward to August 2012 and have already booked speakers for Feb and August 2013 and 14. Wow, time flies. All this is God willing, of course.

Update on Aug 2011

Hello to all of you that attended this August’s Truth 4 Youth. We thank you all for coming along. We had more than ever at Heatree this August and we thank God for bringing so many young adults along to hear truth and to meet with like minded believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Arnold Fruchtenbaum came across the sea to us and we are so grateful to him for his clear concise teaching and his jokes were fantastic. It really is an honour to have Arnold with us. John Mackay joined us from Australia. John is a very gifted Creation speaker. We were excited to have him visit us after Truth 4 Youth at our home Church and he really was so informative, we thank God that a few non-believers were there that live in our village and they were definitely shaken up by what he said. We are now looking forward to February 2012, time is going so quickly. We have an amazing line up for Feb, Meno Kalisher from Jerusalem Assembly in Jerusalem, our dear friend Mr Justin Peters is back and of course our mainstay Mr Tim Palmer (what would we do without him and his lovely family)

Update on Feb 2011

Hi to all those that attended this February’s Truth 4 Youth. This was a very blessed Truth 4 Youth. Wow the teaching was so practical and really encouraged and convicted so many of you and us. We have to thank Mike Attwood, who we’ve already booked again for February 2013, soonest we could get him back. Thanks to Caleb Massey and his lovely family and of course our dear friend Tim Palmer from New Tribes Mission. We had a surprise guest speaker this year, Mr Jacob Prasch popped along for the day and gave us two fantastic teachings. We’d like to thank him for his support and encouragement over all these years of doing Truth 4 Youth. We also have to thank our dear friends Trevor and Maggie Stewart Sweet for bringing Jacob to us. As always thank you to all those that every year give of their own time to make Truth 4 Youth happen. Looking forward to August 2011 now, not long to go. We have a great line up, Praise God.

Update on Aug 2010

Wow, what an amazing time was had by all, we are so grateful that you all came along and we thank God for bringing along such amazing speakers, Tom McMahon, Carl Kerby, Paul Wilkinson and of course Tim Palmer. Tom McMahon and Carl Kerby are such a great team together and their teaching on Media was really excellent and balanced. Carl’s amazing way of teaching Creation was really enjoyed by the young adults and they really understood and we have heard many testimony’s of how these young adults are debating their teachers and lecturers. The weather was great, which we thank God for, and many young adults (and oldies) enjoyed the water balloons kindly brought along by Tom McMahon, such great fun. Many also enjoyed the activities that Heatree arranged. High Rope, Climbing Tower, Low Ropes and many other activities. Thank you to all those that gave their time to help at Truth 4 Youth this August and a big thank you to the Heatree staff . Steve (Chef) the food was fantastic.

Update on Feb 2010

Hi everybody and thanks so much for coming along to Feb’s Truth 4 Youth. It was such a blessing to all of us and to spend time with you again was truly a joy. It was also an honour to spend time with those that were new to Truth 4 Youth, we are so in awe of God that He continues to make Truth 4 Youth known to those that need truth and fellowship. Justin Peters was fantastic and we thank him for his humbleness and his lovely easy way of teaching us all the errors of the ‘word faith movement’. Justin returned to Dorset with us and shared in our church and in a meeting in Bournemouth. We had such a blessed time with him. Thanks to our very own Tim Palmer, Don Hender and James Stafford for your teaching and constant support. We are so grateful to you all. We are now looking forward to August. We have Tom McMahon from The Berean Call back with us and Carl Kerby from Answers in Genesis. Paul Wilkinson joins us and will teach us about Israel. Tim Palmer is also back along with Don Hender and James Stafford. Bookings are coming in fast so please get yours in asap. We have a new website, courtesy of Lofty yet again, and you can now send your booking form in online and send your cheque to us, this should make life easier. We are so looking forward to seeing you all and we thank God for His faithfulness and provision to the work of Truth 4 Youth.

Update on Aug 2009

I know it’s been too long since I updated this, but here we are with a new website that is so easy to use Praise God – even for me – Thanks Lofty. August T4Y was such an incredible time and we had so many of you tell us it was the best one yet, what a joy you all are. We love our time with you all and seeing you grow in your faith, established and hungry for Truth is the greatest joy of our Christian walks, when I say that I know I speak for all of us. This was a tough one for us as it was an end of an era for the working parties involved in T4Y, but we are so excited as we move on to February 2010. We have such a great team with us who have already proved themselves in their dedication to the work of T4Y and we have great speakers, Justin Peters and Tim Palmer so far, what a feast we shall have. We would like to thank all of you for coming along and encouraging us, maybe you all don’t realise how much of an encouragement you are to us oldies. Don’t forget you can contact us anytime, we’re always here for you, not just Feb. Will update again soon, (sooner than last time) Suzie

Update on Feb 2009

Dear All, February is nearly upon us and we are right in the midst of organising everything. It’s all looking really good, we are so excited at the prospect of the amazing teachers we have coming along and the wonderful fellowship we will all share. We are praying for you all, for travelling mercies for you and that you will all be encouraged and fed well during our time together, spiritually and of course with the excellent food at Heatree. We praise God for this opportunity to learn more about Him together. We look forward to seeing you, Love in Jesus Suzie

Update on Aug 2008

Dear All, What a wonderful blessed time we all had again this August. Thank you so much to all of you for coming along. It was such a joy to see you all welcoming each other now that so many of you have become such close friends in the Lord. It was lovely also how all you regulars made the newcomers so welcome. We thank God for His provision of amazing speakers, who served Him by travelling many miles, some from overseas, to teach and bring the truth of God’s Word to us all. We must thank God for His provision with the weather as the rain really did hold off for most of the weekend. Thank you again to everyone that helped with the conference and to all of you that attended, Looking forward to February 2009, Love in Jesus Graham and Suzie, Rob and Rosa

Looking forward to August Truth 4 Youth

Dear All, We are so looking forward to welcoming you all back to Heatree this August. Only 12 days to go at writing! We have the largest amount of people coming along this year and also many new faces. We praise God for this. The programme is almost finalised and is looking very exciting. We pray that during your time together you will make many new friends and your faith will be strengthened.

Update on Feb 2008

Dear All, I feel anything I say about Truth 4 Youth this February could never express how incredible this weekend was… What a blessing it was to be with you all and I’m sure you will join me in saying a huge thank you to Jay Smith and Tim Palmer who taught us with such passion and love for our Lord Jesus Christ, it really was amazing. You all seemed to love your time together whether you were debating Scripture, playing UNO, taking walks, playing table-tennis, football etc. It was wonderful to see so many new faces this year. I think we owe a huge thank you also to Jacob Prasch (Moriel) for encouraging all the new youth and 20 something’s to come along this year. It was a pleasure and a privilege to meet you and we are so grateful you took time out and travelled so far to join us, especially all the way from Manchester on your motor-bike (you know who you are). Can’t wait for August to see you all again, Love in Jesus Graham & Suzie

Update on Aug 2007

Dear All, It was such a blessing to spend time with you all again this year. Thanks to all those that helped during the weekend, especially with Dorm Groups and Children’s work. What would we do without you all. Thanks also to the Speakers who put so much time and effort into being with us, always ready to answer the many questions we and the youth have and giving of their time so freely. We pray you were also blessed and enjoyed your time with us as much as we enjoyed having you there. Thank you for filling out the questionnaires, it’s not too late to get yours to us if you’ve forgotten. We are endeavouring to put into practice all your comments. We have put out our objectives for Truth 4 Youth for the future, you’ll find them on the front page of this website. Most of these have come from our thoughts and prayers whilst reading your responses to the questions asked. We are now getting ready for our mini-conference in February 2008. We are very excited to have Jay Smith back with us as we are sure you are. Jay is so passionate in his evangelism to the Muslims it is infectious. We are so looking forward to meeting Tim Palmer and his family from New Tribes Mission Bible College in North Cotes, Lincolnshire. Tim like Jay, comes from a long line of Missionaries in his family and now works a a Bible teacher in the NTM Bible College. New Tribes Mission statement is ’Our primary focus is to plant churches among “NEW TRIBES” who have yet to hear the Gospel’. How exciting is that. You can find out more about NTM on their website www.uk.ntm.org We look forward to seeing you in Feb and don’t forget to invite your friends along. Love in Jesus, Graham, Suzie, Rob and Rosa.

Update on Feb 2007

Dear Youth, just a quick thank you to all of you who came along for Truth 4 Youth. We pray you all learnt loads and made many friendships. Wow, there was a lot of debate going on this year, especially during dorm time. That’s what it’s all about though – searching the Scriptures, checking out everything – it’s so great that you all care so much about God and His Word. As usual we loved our dorm groups, what a lovely time together discussing what we’ve learnt during the day, chilling out and eating galaxy (oops – i thought every dorm group did that – not just mine (Suzie’s) Thanks to the speakers who all gave of their time so generously. Thanks again to all the Heatree staff, food was great as usual and the rooms were lovely and clean. Now we’re looking to August. As you may have seen from the front page of this website we have Rocky back this year, along with his lovely new wife. Rocky will be speaking and helping with dorm times. We’ll keep you informed about other speakers and will of course let you know as soon as they confirm. Please know that we are praying for all of you…. Love in Jesus Graham and Suzie

Update on Feb 2006

Dear Youth and any of your family members who came along this August. We’d like to thank you for coming along and making Truth 4 Youth such a great time together. Thank you to all those who came along and gave their time so willingly helping with dorm groups, Kidz Truth etc. To the Youth, you are such a great crowd, thank you for the encouragement that you are to all of us oldies. We really love being with you and to see you each year growing more in the Lord is amazing, the love you have for one another is something we can all learn from. We want you to know that we Praise God and thank Him for you all. Thanks also to the staff at Heatree House, wow what a lovely place to hold Truth 4 Youth, the countryside around it is beautiful and Heatree is so clean and friendly- we really feel at home there. It was fantastic to see so many youth discussing doctrine together and wanting to hear truth and then like the Bereans checking out everything alongside Gods Word. So now we’re looking forward to February, our mini conference that runs from 16th – 18th February. As we’ve stated on the booking form Februarys Truth 4 Youth is a chance to really delve into our bibles and get into some meaty teaching which is why we say it is primarily for believers. Jay Smith has agreed to come along and share more with us about Islam which I know you guys loved this August and you can’t wait to get to Speakers Corner….. We’ll let you know the other speakers when we get confirmation…

We have had some great feedback from some of the youth and thought maybe it would be encouraging for you to read as they truly encouraged us – God is so good. Here’s a few e-mails.

Just thought that I would send you an email to say thank you so much for this year’s conference. It has been fantastic! Truth 4 Youth is always such an encouragement to me and this year has been no exception. It was amazing to see that many young adults there that were so on fire for God as up here in Manchester, I know very few young Christians that are that passionate and that focused on the Lord. This year’s speakers were all so good and they were so widely different too. I really enjoyed Jay Smith as I have never heard anyone talk about Islam the way that he did and to see that there are people out there who are combating this religion in such an active way is phenomenal. James Stafford’s talk was also really encouraging and gave me answers to many of my friends’ questions at school, making me feel much more prepared for witnessing in the year ahead. The other speakers were also fantastic and I learnt such a lot in just four days. Once again I thank you so much for all of your hard work and dedication and to everyone else who had any input into Truth 4 Youth. It was such a blessing and encouragement as always. Thank you also for our dorm time which was an ideal end to each day – we all really enjoyed ourselves. If there is anything that I can do or pray about, please let me know. God bless, x x x

Hey guys, it was awesome to see you at T4Y. I pray that everyone was blessed by the weekend and grew in the knowledge of God. I found it so encouraging seeing so many young adults with a hunger to get deeper into God’s word. We are so fortunate to have these opportunities and I hope you guys can make it in August! Maybe we’ll get some better football weather – >less mud clods falling from the sky. I hope everyone settled quickly back into “the real world” and is able to take away the stuff they’ve learnt and apply it. In sending this everyone should have everyone else’s address so we can stay in touch – especially important for those guy’s who don’t have many Christian family/friends. If anyone knows of anyone I have missed on the list please tell me. Want to say thank you again on behalf of everyone to Rob and Rosa, Graham and Suzy for all you do, the mid-year weekend was a brilliant idea. Also to Salvi, James and Simon for all they brought to us. A few good websites: www.biblicaldiscipleship.org – Jobe Martin’s Site www.answersingenesis.org www.biblegateway.com – Useful for looking up words/passages/topics in the bible and in many versions God Bless all you guys

To you all Just to reaffirm what Tim said in the last email, I also was blessed and encouraged to see so many young adults praising the Lord. The reason why it blessed me was because I do not have ANY Christian friends who are my age, especially not friends who have any sort of watchful eye on what is >actually going on in the world. I would also like to say thank you to the leaders who taught during the conference and spent there time explaining the Word of God to me. I would also like to say thank you to the Lads in my Dorm for all the good discussions and laughs we had. May God Bless you all

Dear Rosa, Hope everything is going smoothly for Truth 4 Youth in the summer and that the Lord is organizing all the finer details for you like he always so graciously seems to do. I just want to say the biggest thank you ever for the conference at the weekend – I really, truly enjoyed myself and I know that Natalie and Charlotte did too. They both would like to come in the summer also, I personally really enjoyed the Bible study with Salvador as it really helped me think and study what I was reading rather than just skimming over it and missing out the parts that I didn’t understand. Another thing that you also mentioned which I think would be good is to have a short meeting on the first night, because after travelling down, most of the information washed over me and my brain couldn’t engage for that length of time. I really enjoyed dorm-time this year as well, especially with the chocolate fingers, doritos and dip – you must say thank you to Suzie for me! It was the perfect finisher for the day with not too much information but still including a gospel message and all of us girls just relaxing together. I also really enjoyed the chill out time, especially the time before we went to bed – that was perfect and really helped everybody to make friends and talk to each other and I think it was partially because of that that that at this conference we all became so much closer. I think it would be a good idea to keep the youth separate from the adults so that the meetings are gaged for us, and also that some of the meetings are separated for just boys and just girls so that we can talk about personal things, but I also think that it would be nice if we could have the rest with all of the youth mixed up together so that everyone can get to know one another as a whole. Again I thank you for all of your hard work, from you and the rest of the team – I’ll be praying for you! This last weekend was amazing, the best conference ever so once again thanks a lot – can’t wait already till August! If I think of anything else I’ll let you know. Thanks, God bless,
